Extremadura, Spain
Tungsten, gold, tin, REE
In June 2026, Deccan Gold Mines Limited (BSE: 512068) signed a definitive Earn-In, Option and Shareholders’ Agreement to acquire an initial 51% interest in Logrosán Minera S.L. (“LMSL”), a Spanish company holding two adjoining critical minerals licences in western Spain: the 37 sq. km Logrosán tungsten project and the 40 sq. km María gold-antimony project. The transaction, marks Deccan Gold’s first entry into the European critical minerals sector and follows a strategic investment announced in December 2025.
Located within a highly mineralised belt of Extremadura, the combined Logrosán and María licence areas represent a district-scale opportunity, with prospectivity for tungsten, gold, tin, rare earth elements, niobium and tantalum — several of which are classified as critical or strategic minerals by both the European Union and India.
Tungsten is classified as a critical mineral by major economies, given its essential role in defence, aerospace, cutting tools, electronics and high-temperature alloys. More than 80% of global tungsten supply currently originates from China, a concentration that is driving demand for diversified, non-Chinese sources of supply.
Spain has emerged as a preferred European destination for critical minerals investment, offering a stable regulatory environment, competitive operating costs, established infrastructure, proximity to industrial end-markets, and no production-based mining royalty. For Deccan Gold, Logrosán and María provide a foothold in this strategically important jurisdiction.
Deccan Gold Mines Ltd. is India’s first and only gold exploration company listed on the BSE. Since 2003, we have pioneered gold exploration across the country, with major discoveries in Karnataka’s Archaean greenstone belts of the Dharwar Craton. Our JORC-compliant feasibility study on the Ganajur gold deposit underscores our commitment to developing India’s gold mining potential.
