Project Overview

In June 2026, Deccan Gold Mines Limited (BSE: 512068) signed a definitive Earn-In, Option and Shareholders’ Agreement to acquire an initial 51% interest in Logrosán Minera S.L. (“LMSL”), a Spanish company holding two adjoining critical minerals licences in western Spain: the 37 sq. km Logrosán tungsten project and the 40 sq. km María gold-antimony project. The transaction, marks Deccan Gold’s first entry into the European critical minerals sector and follows a strategic investment announced in December 2025.
Located within a highly mineralised belt of Extremadura, the combined Logrosán and María licence areas represent a district-scale opportunity, with prospectivity for tungsten, gold, tin, rare earth elements, niobium and tantalum — several of which are classified as critical or strategic minerals by both the European Union and India.

Why Spain, Why Tungsten

Tungsten is classified as a critical mineral by major economies, given its essential role in defence, aerospace, cutting tools, electronics and high-temperature alloys. More than 80% of global tungsten supply currently originates from China, a concentration that is driving demand for diversified, non-Chinese sources of supply.
Spain has emerged as a preferred European destination for critical minerals investment, offering a stable regulatory environment, competitive operating costs, established infrastructure, proximity to industrial end-markets, and no production-based mining royalty. For Deccan Gold, Logrosán and María provide a foothold in this strategically important jurisdiction.

Geology and Exploration Results

The Logrosán licence lies within a well-documented tungsten-tin district with a history of scheelite mining. Earlier drilling programmes have intersected multiple zones of scheelite-bearing tungsten mineralisation, including 3 metres at 0.42% WO₃ and 8 metres at 0.32% WO₃, together with isolated high-grade gold intercepts of up to 1 metre at 96.2 g/t gold. An active drilling campaign is under way to expand and better define these mineralised zones. The nearby María licence is an early-stage, near-surface gold and antimony target, with historical exploration work and recent sampling having identified encouraging gold anomalies. Deccan Gold’s technical team considers its exploration and resource-evaluation experience in gold systems directly transferable to the tungsten-dominant mineralisation styles seen at Logrosán.

Outlook

Investment proceeds from the earn-in will be applied to further exploration and development of the Logrosán and María licences, including continued diamond drilling, resource definition and technical studies. Deccan Gold will provide updates on project progress and milestone achievements through its regulatory filings with the BSE and on this website as the earn-in advances toward completion in March 2027.

Strategic Rationale

The Logrosán investment advances Deccan Gold’s stated strategy of building a globally diversified portfolio of gold and critical mineral assets, alongside its existing projects in India, Kyrgyzstan, Mozambique and Finland. Commenting on the agreement, Dr. Hanuma Prasad Modali, Managing Director of Deccan Gold Mines, said the definitive agreement “marks another important step in Deccan Gold’s strategy to build a globally diversified portfolio of gold and critical mineral assets,” adding that securing a pathway to operational control of a prospective tungsten project in Spain “strengthens our exposure to a mineral that is increasingly critical to defence, advanced manufacturing, semiconductors, and industrial technologies.”
