KEY CONSULTANCY PROJECTS :

CONSULTANCY PROJECT FOR JB DJIBOUTI GROUP: EXPLORATION FOR GOLD IN HESDABA AND ASALEYTA BLOCKS OF DJIBOUTI, NE AFRICA.

Preliminary to detailed exploration for gold in Hesdaba and Asaleyta Blocks of Gaggade and Lake Asal province was carried out covering 12 and 9 sq km areas respectively. Detailed geological mapping with emphasis on locating and delineating the mineralized chalcedony veins and alteration haloes around them was completed. The work has revealed the presence of four 10 – 130 m wide mineralized zones of 1160 – 4080 m strike length in Hesdaba Block and a 100m wide and 500m long mineralized zone in Asaleyta Block. A total of 1090 channel samples collected across these mineralized zones were analysed to establish a low – grade epigenetic gold mineralization. The gold content in chalcedony veins and the ferruginous haloes ranges from <1 g/t to over 25 g/t, averaging around 1 to 2 g/t in 10-25 m wide zones of mineralization. A total of 1000m core drilling in Hesdaba Block was completed in 8 test boreholes.  The analytical results have confirmed the depth continuity and low grade gold mineralization.

CONSULTANCY PROJECT FOR ULTRATECH CEMENTS (ADITYA BIRLA GROUP):DETAILED EXPLORATION FOR CEMENT GRADE LIMESTONE IN KARUR AREA, TAMIL NADU, INDIA.

Detailed geological mapping to locate and delineate the limestone bands and Core drilling to estimate their resources was carried out in three phases. The quantum of work done includes detailed geological mapping of 1554 Ha in 22 Blocks, 7641.60 m Diamond Core Drilling in 92 inclined Boreholes and Sampling & Analyses of 3490 Core Samples.  The drilling and analytical data was utilized to prepare the 3-D sections of different limestone bands and estimated a total Cement-grade Limestone Resource of 243 million tonnes in the explored blocks.

GEOPHYSICAL SURVEYS FOR GOLD, IRON ORE AND ASSOCIATED COMMODITIES IN IVORY COAST, SUDAN & TOGO.

Ground magnetic survey has been carried out in Sudan, Ivory Coast & Togo with the objective of identifying targets for Auriferous Quartz veins. The survey was conducted in 7 different sub blocks, with traverse lines separated from each other by 100m. Three GeM System GSM-19 Overhauser Magnetometers with integrated GPS system were used for the ground magnetic survey while a third Scintrex Magnetometer was used in the Base station. The survey recorded good quality data and this was preprocessed by applying various corrections and checks.

CONSULTANCY PROJECT FOR MANYATA GROUP: EXPLORATION FOR GOLD IN KELANTAN PROVINCE OF MALAYSIA.

Preliminary exploration for gold was carried out in Tana Mera area of Kelantan State of Malaysia for a short period.  Numerous concessions were examined by stream sediment and rock chip sampling, deciphering the source areas and highlighting the potential of respective areas.  Jelatek river valley was examined in detail to find significant concentration of gold nuggets and fine in the alluvium, besides locating the highly sulphidic source rocks upstream.

STRUCTURAL MAPPING FOR OIL AND GAS PROJECTS IN YEMEN FOR RELIANCE

The study area exposes mostly Paleocene to Miocene shallow marine to littoral sequence deposited in semiarid conditions. This sequence has been subjected to moderate deformation and as a result it has been folded into broad antiform-synform pairs. Besides the sequence has also been subjected to faulting. Some of these faults appear to be deeper and could form conduits for fluids from the deeper parts of the sedimentary basin where the petroliferous Jurassic strata are expected. The presence of antiform-synform pairs and faults affecting the younger strata suggests possibility of stratigraphic and structural traps in the sedimentary sequence which were formed during the post Miocene tectonic inversion of the basin. Some of the lithologies have been subjected to extensive alterations. The implications of these alteration zones will be fully understood only by deep seismic surveys and drilling.

EXPLORATION FOR GOLD IN LIBYA

The study area is a mountain range in the area of the Egyptian-Libyan-Sudanese border. The area consists of paleozoic sandstone, resting upon metamorphic Proterozoic basement rocks and volcanic intrusive. The prominent mountains are Jebel Uweinat and Jebel Arkanas. Based on the geology and other data entire areas is divided into 5 blocks and given priority as sequence. Gold bearing quartz veins and alteration zones are mostly NE-SW, NNE-SSW strike and showing steep dipping in most of the locations. Total 51 samples of rock were collected and analyzed by Fire Assay methods for gold. Rock chip samples varying between 1 to 96 grams per ton. High values are shown in central and north eastern parts of the study area. Based on the exploration work three potential zones are mapped for future programme.

EXPLORATION  FOR GOLD IN KYRGYZSTAN

Drilling activity was carried on by Kyrgyziiz Open Joint Stock Company. Company started drilling at 8th of June 2016, first stage completed as of June 2016 and the second stage completed as of February 2017. Total of 65 drillholes were completed and 702 samples were sent to ALS to analyze. The drillhole database contains 702 sample records from a total 65 drillholes. All of these samples have been taken within a designated tailing zone.
